*update 04/03/07 Apparently the link was originally supposed to be super secret (i.e. for reviewers only) but word got out and Dark Horse have been sending emails (well, to at least one person) “chiding” people for posting the link. Dark Horse have changed the file to only the first six pages. I haven’t received any notice as of yet, so the link remains for now, but the whole comic is no longer available*
For those of you out there still not convinced of the viability of moving Joss Whedon’s creation “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” to comic format, try this free copy in PDF format available from Dark Horse available here.

To Whom It May Concern,
I believe Mr. Wheddon would profit considerably
if he developed a “Spike” based show. The guys want to
be him and the girls Love him too.
Thanx,

whoever u r u posted this years ago
and the chances at u ever seeing this response r small
but i wanted to point out that the creators of buffy and angel are not dumb
they already considered doing a Faith based show and Spike would be on it too and work with her. However that fell through and instead when Buffy ended Spike was moved to Season 5 of Angel.
Just saying they already knew everyone loved spike, thats why he stayed alive, even after he burned to death.
I think that everyone would have loved Joss to make some “Spike” TV, everyone except the television executives that is.
Joss tried long and hard to get that project off the ground, also a “Faith” series was very much talked about at one point, the idea being something along the lines of Faith on a motorbike traveling the US righting wrongs in the style of the old David Carridine “Kung Fu” series.
I know I woulda watched it!
Angel and Buffy in my mind were the best couple, how they got spike as the best still puzzels me. Making a show all about spike would be fine but i would much rather see another one of Angel or buffy
In my opinion making Spike a hero, and more importantly, Buffy’s lover was a huge mistake. Spike made a good villain but a pathetic hero, especially since he never showed remorse for his past wrongs, and continued doing horrible things like attempted rape.
At the time I stopped watching and considered the show dead to me. Only now years later I’ve started to watch the last 2 seasons, which I’ll admit are okay, but nowhere near what Buffy once was.
Spike was a good person.
This is the guy who fought and earned his soul.
For anyone who watched the second episode of season 7, the last scene where Spike and Buffy are in the church shows pretty much what kind of person Spike really was. He did feel guilt, and he wanted to be forgiven. He wanted to be loved. Not just by Buffy, but by the people around him. He wanted to be a “man”.
—————————————————————————
Spike: …and and now everybody’s in here (his head) talking. Everything I did…everyone I…and him…and it.
—————————————————————————
Buffy: Why…? (tears) Why would you….
Spike: Buffy, shame on you. What does a man do that he must’nt? For her. To be hers. To be the kind of man who would nev… To be a kind of man………….. (approaches the cross) And she shall look on him with forgiveness, and everyone will forgive and love. And he will be loved. (rests on the cross)
