On the final day of the NY Comic Con the Dark Horse panel revealed a little more about the up-coming Season 8 comics, though not too much!

(Senior Managing Editor Scott) Allie then stepped up to talk more about the eagerly anticipated new “Buffy The Vampire Slayer” series, which will serve as the shows eight season.
“Can’t give away too much,” said Allie, “Joss has threatened many things.”
It is worth clicking through to read the article, it mentions the origin of this eighth season and gives some insight into some upcoming story arcs.
It looks as though there will be a good mix of writers, both from the comic world and Buffy ‘verse.
The initial plan was to utilize writers from the series exclusively, but Whedon has spent the last few years immersed in the comics world, which has netted lots of new friends and collaborators, as reflected in the second arc, which will be written by comics writer and newly minted television writer Brian K. Vaughan.
Though I am not the biggest comic book fan, this project is looking to be pretty exciting!
